If you have glass-on fins, consider using foam blocks with slices in them to accommodate the fins, as these add stability and make it less likely to snap a fin while in transit. If your boards have removable fin systems, make sure all of your fins are removed before packing them in your travel bag. You can do this by layering your towels, wetsuits, and other clothing items on top of the top board and underneath of the bottom board-just make sure that you remove your wax first, or at least wrap the boards in board socks, otherwise you might arrive to your destination to find melted wax all over your clothes! Consider adding extra protection on the top and bottom boards, since they are the most likely to be damaged if the board is impacted. Get a sturdy travel bag or coffin that can accommodate the number of boards you plan to bring, and make sure there is enough room to fit all of the boards after they are individually wrapped in knit bags or daybags (for extra protection). Heat is a surfboards worst enemy-not only does it melt the wax and make a huge mess in your car, but it can mess with the chemical bond between the foam and fiberglass, which shortens the life of your board and can cause bubbles in the glass on certain types of boards.įinally, if you are heading out on a big surf trip, you want to make sure that you protect your boards adequately before checking them onto your flight.

If you can’t do that, try to park somewhere relatively safe where you can crack the windows to allow a little bit of breeze to circulate through the car. If you can’t park in a covered area where your car is shaded and remains cool, then we highly suggest bringing your board into the office with you (if possible). Many of us like to surf early in the morning before work, and often find that we have to leave our boards in our cars while we are in the office. This includes keeping it out of the water whenever it gets dinged and making sure to have dings professionally repaired once they have dried out not putting your board wax-down in the sand always rinsing your board with fresh water after a session and making sure not to leave your board out in the sun, where it can heat up and delam. Unless I'm told otherwise, in a few days I'll move Skyrim to my M-drive and do a clean install of NMM.Once you get to the surf, you want to make sure that you take good care of your board. This is my way of saying how grateful I am that others continue to improve on NMM. Vortex's dependence on LOOT which also has it faults, made Vortex a struggle I didn't want to deal with.

With NMM, starting over from scratch (if necessary) is a matter of hours (depending on the number of mods used) but with MO2 it would take me days.

I used MO2 to play TTW and all worked well until I one day TTW would not start even though nothing had changed nor could I discover how to fix it. I find it more intuitive and easier to use. On the other hand, does my experience reveal a more fundamental problem with NMM? I hope not since I much prefer to use NMM rather than either MO2 or Vortex, regardless of what the naysayers claim are its many faults. In the absence of advice from NMM experts, that is what I plan to do. Is it simply a matter of having NMM installed on the same drive as my games? Then I should move Skyrim to my M-drive. Before I reinstall it on M-HD where most of my games are installed (Fallout 3, 4 and NV SkyrimSE, Witcher3, Far Cry 3,4,5& New Dawn, Assassins: Black Flag, Odyssey and Origins, etc.) I would like to know how to prevent this problem from recurring. I have since uninstalled NMM from both drives. In the case of "AddItem", SKSE files as well as text and script files were not installed. The same was true for all other folders that should have had txt files installed.

After trying to update with NMM not one txt file was transferred to "Tools" or any of its subfolders. But, for example, "FNIS Behavior" adds many txt. The mods' esp's had been updated (judging by date modified in file manager). I was updating FNIS and other outdated mods (e.g., AddItem), but otherwise hoping to play my old modded game on drive I. My Skyrim game, which I hadn't played for more than a year, was installed on I: drive.
The version on M: was the most recent version and the one I used. NMM was installed on both my I: and M: drives.
